PUBLIC NOTICE WATER ACT NOTICE OF APPLICATION Blue Devil Land Company Ltd. & Riverbend Hutterian Brethren Notice is given that Riverbend Hutterian Brethren has filed an application under the provisions of the Water Act to transfer 26,730 cubic metres of water at a rate of 0.009 cubic metres per second supplied by the Bow River at NW-5-022-24-W4M. The Licence being considered was issued for irrigation purposes and has a priority number of 1973-08-13-005. The proposed transfer of allocation is an upstream transfer. Blue Devil Land Company Ltd. is proposing a diversion of 26,730 cubic metres of water per year at a rate of 0.009 cubic metres per second from the Bow River at NE 24-022-01-W5M. The purpose of the trasferred water would be for Commercial (golf course irrigation). Under Section 83 of the Water Act, the Director may withhold up to 10% of the allocation of water being transferred. Any water withheld may be licensed to the provincial Government to implement a water conservative objective for the Bow River.
